Walk-In Clinics

Our clinics have been providing walk-in medical care to our community since 1987.  If you have a Barrie Family Physician please attempt to contact their office first as many will keep same day appointments available. If your physician is not able to see you, they will direct you to visit one of our four Walk-In Clinic locations listed below.

Clinic Locations

What do I need to know before my visit? CLICK HERE

  1. Before you arrive - Check our official website barriewalkinclinics.ca for up to date hours of operation, closures, holiday hours, and current wait times. Other websites stating our hours may not be accurate.
  2. Bring your valid Health Card - If you don't have your health card with you, or it is not valid - you will be required to pay for the visit.
  3. To see the physician, the patient must be present at the time of registration.
  4. Help us accurately estimate our wait times by disclosing all of the reasons for your visit at the time of registration.  If you wish to communicate more discretely you may ask the receptionist for a piece of paper and pen or show the receptionist using your mobile device.
  5. Ask the receptionist to explain our policies and procedures for leaving and returning during long wait times.  You risk losing your spot to someone else in need if you are not present at the time your name is called.
  6. Fees apply for services not covered by OHIP, fees are posted at our locations, confirm with reception at registration what fees apply.  Currently we accept Cash & Debit only at all locations. Credit Cards are not accepted.  Non-OHIP TB/Immunization  Clinic visits will be Cash only.
  7. Bad language, rude, obnoxious, or abusive behaviour and/or language violates Bill 168: Violence & Harrassment in the workplace and you will be asked to leave.  Any of this type of behaviour could result in a permanent ban from all of our walk in clinic locations.

We are part of your connected Health Circle.

Who We Are

The Barrie and Community Family Medicine Clinics are more than just a health care organization, we are part of your Health Circle. We are your locally integrated family physicians and specialists, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists and health technicians.  We are your neighbours, friends, sons and daughters caring for the health of our community together.

With us, you will come full circle as we help you to navigate the health care system and build our healthy community. Our Health Circle partners are partners in YOUR health care community.

Our Physicians

Our walk-in clinics are operated by over 100 local Family Physicians with 93 operating family practices in our community as a part of the Barrie and Community Family Medicine Clinics.  We work together to give you and your family better access to quality primary health care services.

If your Family Physician is listed here, your doctor’s office will receive all notes and test results after your clinic visit.

Your Barrie Family Physician prefers that you visit one of his/her four Walk-in Clinics listed above should you require medical care outside of your Physician’s office.
