Our Barrie Family Health Organization (FHO) physicians are represented under the “Barrie and Community Family Medicine Clinics (BCFMC)” brand because it is challenging to educate patients on the concept of a FHO. The HEALTH CIRCLE identifies the interconnecting partners in our patients’ circle of care.

Our FHO (BCFMC) is one of the largest in the province with 90 Local Family Physicians caring for approximately 140,000 enrolled patients on one integrated EMR. We also support many Contract Physicians who are providing care to our community in a variety of capacities including Family Physician Locums and Walk-in Clinic care.

Our physicians are partnered with the Barrie & Community Family Health Team (www.barriefht.ca) and jointly represent Canada’s largest integrated network on one electronic medical record system. Our EMR is operational in all 4 of our walk-in clinics, 86 physician offices and our Family Health Team enabling a circle of care for our 140,000 enrolled patients that is second to none.

6-7 month Maternity Leave Locum Opportunity

I’m looking for a Locum to cover my part-time family practice in the Barrie FHO/FHT (approximately 800 rostered patients) for a 6 – 7 month maternity leave starting August 2017 – April 2018.

This Locum opportunity is to provide 2 – 2.5 full days of coverage per week which can be split into separate half days. Work schedule can be very flexible and adjusted based on preference i.e. days of the week, hours, and start/end time – No evenings or weekends though! The opportunity to do walk-in shifts is also available; would be a FFS split.

The practice is located within the brand new HealthPark Medical Clinic, a managed practice setting, you would work alongside 3 other physicians – wonderful, helpful colleagues and staff, including a nurse, Clinic Manager and biller.  HealthPark provides two fully equipped exam rooms, shared office space, nursing and Reception support. In addition, the BCFHT programs and services are located on the 3^rd floor of the building for easy patient access. EMR is Accuro.

Barrie is a beautiful city with plenty of recreational activities (waterfront, beaches, nearby provincial parks, forest trails, golf, nearby ski hills, year-round festivals and activities, etc.).

6 month Maternity Leave Locum Opportunity Looking for a maternity leave locum from July for approximately 6 months.  I have been looking for 2.5-3 days coverage, however, I’m willing to consider any options that will help offer my patients access to medical care while I’m away.
